UCLA res life puts on some fun events here throughout the year. Highlights include the Halloween haunted house, which had a maze of actors and surprisingly good effects. The balcony has a one of the best views of campus, and the room is more than spacious.

While not the most loved dining hall of the UCLA halls, I quite like Covel. As with most dining halls it goes with a theme there is a Euro part where they have Mediterranean foods and they have hummus. I frequent for the pasta and like all other dining halls have pizza, hamburger/fries, fruit, salad. Unlike the others they have a soup bar which is pretty neat.

Went to visit a freshman student at UCLA and we ended eating at their food area... WOW, plenty of options and alternatives. Also BIG area. The place is nicely kept clean by students and staff, the service is not the same as at a normal consumer restaurant, in terms of attention and quality, but for students is perfect. At the exit the dessert area is really tempting...

Vending machines each floor, it'll be better if they accept credit cards. Lots of start-up ucla events held here. Dining place is in the lower level, but you can still enjoy some great views. $10.75 for easy pay to dine in.(dinner)

The food tastes REALLY good and there's always a great variety of dishes and cuisines to indulge in. Just like any other college dining hall it will get boring to eat there after a couple of weeks.

Front desk needs work at Covel Commons. Unhospitable and clueless. Not a great mix. Otherwise great! Handy bruincard machine and other vending products.

As a Bruin alumnus, I have a civic duty to report that Covel Commons is in fact the best dining hall on campus. Not only is the food delicious and convenient, but they have consistent good pizza. Sometimes DeNeve has better pizza, but honestly Covel takes the cake for its consistent, good food, convenience and atmosphere.
